Jake Mandell
Jake (Jakob) Mandell (born September 12, 1975 in Woodstock ) is an American musician. Mandell studied neurobiology and medicine in New York City and founded his music label Kodama. In 2000 he went to Berlin to assist in the music software company Native Instruments to work as a programmer and released several CDs including in the label Worm Interface , Force Inc. Music Works , Carpark and chancellery Records and also appeared as a life-DJ on festivals such as Sonar in Barcelona on. In 2001 he was involved with the video artist Jeffers Egan on the music DVD Slither , which was shown at Transmediale and was nominated for various prizes. After a relationship with actress Miriam Glinka, he is now married to the artist Julie Hom-Mandell and lives alternately in New York and Berlin.
