Jakob Adam (graphic designer)

Jakob Adam (born October 9, 1748 in Vienna ; † September 16, 1811 there ) was an Austrian engraver . From 1771 he was trained at the copper engraving academy in Vienna. He made many copperplate engravings on well-known Austrian people and made many pictures for the Viennese Picture Bible (1803).

Jakob Adam engraved for printed works, but also for medallions . His style is described as "very delicate and miniature-like with dotted meat parts". He engraved a total of 110 works; his authorship has not been clarified for another three.
