Jakob Brunnschweiler

Jakob Brunnschweiler (born January 5, 1950 ) is a politician ( FDP ). He was a member of the government and mayor of the Swiss canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden .

Jakob Brunnschweiler studied civil engineering at the Technikum Winterthur . He was on the government council from 1998 to 2015 . From 2006 to 2011 he was also Landammann (District President). He headed the Department of Construction and Environment (today: Department of Construction and Economics). Before joining the government, he was a member of the Ausserrhoder cantonal council and six years councilor of Teufen.
