Jakob Eschay

Jakob Eschay († 1606 ) was an Augsburg city ​​architect in the second half of the 16th century .

Eschay was one of the predecessors of Elias Holl , who significantly shaped the Augsburg of the Renaissance at the beginning of the 17th century. His main works were two works for Hans Fugger (1531–1598), the Fugger Castle in Kirchheim / Swabia and the conversion of Stettenfels Castle near Heilbronn into a Renaissance castle.
