Jakob Eugster (lawyer, 1897)

Jakob Eugster (born December 16, 1897 in Altstätten , † September 7, 1969 in Mörschwil ) was a Swiss lawyer and cantonal councilor.

Eugster studied law in Friborg and Lausanne and graduated as Dr. iur. From 1921 to 1924 he was the clerk of the Uri court . From 1924 he then worked as a lawyer in Altstätten in the canton of St. Gallen . In 1933 he became a Grand Councilor of the Canton of St. Gallen. From 1939 to 1963 Eugster was a judge at the St. Gallen Cantonal Court. He was also President of the Liechtenstein Administrative Complaints Authority from 1928 to 1941, and President of the Liechtenstein Higher Court from 1941 to 1969 .

In 1955 he was a member of an eight-member committee that prepared the foundation of the Switzerland-Liechtenstein Society .
