Jacob Kennedy
Jakob Kennedy ( English James Kennedy ; Gäl . : Seumas Ceanadach ; * around 1408; † 24 May 1465 ) was a Scottish bishop in the 15th century. In 1437/38 he became Bishop of Dunkeld , in 1440 he became Bishop of St Andrews . He founded St Salvator's College , University of St Andrews . The Gray Friars Monastery in St. Andrews also goes back to him, it was founded shortly after 1458. He had a passenger and cargo ship called the Saint Salvator built, which was used until 1472.
