Jakob Melchinger

Jakob Melchinger (born April 23, 1867 in Unterensingen ; † February 26, 1946 ) was a Württemberg farmer and politician.

family

Jakob Melchinger was the son of the farmer Gottlob Friedrich Melchinger (1827–1896) in Unterensingen and Friederike Stumpp (1833–1905). He had three siblings. In 1895 he married Juliane Sarah Strobel (1875–1955) and they had six children.

job

Melchinger was a farmer in Unterensingen and was also a member of the local council. He was a member of the Württemberg farmers and wine growers' association, and from 1920 to 1933 he was also a member of the Württemberg Chamber of Agriculture.

politics

From 1920 to 1928 Jakob Melchinger was a member of the Landtag of the Free People's State of Württemberg for the constituency of Nürtingen-Kirchheim-Urach .
