Jakob Otto Kehrli

Jakob Otto Kehrli (born February 9, 1892 in Bern ; † June 28, 1962 there ), entitled to live in Utzenstorf , was a Swiss lawyer and writer.

Life

Kehrli studied at the University of Bern. He was a member of the Bern section of the Swiss Zofinger Association . The advocate and doctor of law, Otto Kehrli, was elected chief judge in 1940. When he retired in 1958, he was President of the Bernese Higher Court . In 1942 he was President of the Bern City Council. He was also the editor of the Swiss Gutenberg Museum in Bern. From 1943 to 1951 he was President of the Kunstmuseum Bern . From 1919 until his death he published on legal problems in the field of art and on artist personalities, including the Bern artist Ernst Kreidolf .

Kehrli's estate is in the Burger Library in Bern .
