Jacob Pauls

Jakob Pauls (born March 23, 1857 near Dornumersiel , † after 1923 ) was a German politician .

The skipper Pauls was elected mayor of Langeoog's community in 1906 and held the office until 1923. During his tenure, the redesign of the water supply fell with the construction of the water tower and the construction of a sewer system. In 1906 he introduced the tourist tax on the island to finance the project. A street on Langeoog was named after him, Jakob-Pauls-Weg .
