Jala Gangnus
Jala Gangnus (born September 5, 1986 in Lüneburg ) is a former German sprinter .
Athletic career
Jala Gangnus was considered a great sprint talent. In 2005 she was U20 vice European champion over 200 meters and German champion in 2006. With the relay of the LG Weserbergland she won gold in the German championships over 4 x 100 meters in 2007 and 2008, at the German indoor championships in 2006 and 2007 gold over 4 x 200 meters. In 2006 she took part in the European Championships in Gothenburg , where she carried the German flag at the opening ceremony. Over 200 meters she reached the semi-finals here. Due to multiple injuries, she ended her career in 2010 when she was just 24.
