The Jalabiro Forest Park is a forest area in the West African state of Gambia .
topography
The small forest area measuring approximately 750 meters in diameter and 59 hectares is located in the North Bank Region in the Central Baddibu district . It is located around 4.3 kilometers west of the next larger town, Salikenne .
The Jalabiro Forest Park, like the other forest parks in Gambia, was established on January 1, 1954, but is today within the boundaries of the Bao Bolong Wetland Reserve (BBWR), which has been recognized as a wetland worthy of protection since 1996 under the Ramsar Convention . Although the BBWR has a higher protection status, the Jalabiro Forest Park is still shown on current maps.
