Jalna is a city in the Indian state of Maharashtra .

Jalna is located 60 km east of Aurangabad on the Kundalika River . It is the capital of the district of the same name . The city is of the rank of Municipal Council . It is divided into 54 wards . The national highway NH 753A (Aurangabad - Chikhli ) passes through the city. The Aurangabad – Pathani railway runs past Jalna.
