Jalrez is a district in the Afghan province of Wardak with the town of Jalrez ( ⊙ ) as its center. It is populated by Pashtuns , Tajiks and Hazara .

Important agricultural products of the district, which are also exported, are apples and potatoes.

Archaeological excavations have increased in recent years in the Jalrez Caves, but many sites are the target of looters.
