James Borges

James Borges (* 1988 in Luxembourg ) is a Luxembourgish pop singer of Portuguese descent who took 4th place in the casting show of the 2nd season of The Voice of Germany in 2012 .

In 2012 Borges applied to The Voice of Germany. In the BossHoss team he made it to the finals and was finally 4th. In the semifinals, he performed his own song Lonely and was voted into the finals by the audience. In the finale he sang again Lonely and together with guest star Nelly Furtado Waiting for the Night. He also performed with his coaches and sang It's Not Unusual by Tom Jones . After the finale he entered the German single charts with his song Lonely .

His success with The Voice of Germany was all the more evident as he could not count on callers from his home country.

On December 12, 2012, Borges, Luxembourg's home community of Rümelingen, organized a bus shuttle to Trier , Germany, in order to be able to vote a little over the phone. Mayor Henri Haine also joined the approximately 200 Rümelinger fans to celebrate the town's most famous son.
