James Cavallie

James Cavallie (born December 20, 1933 ) is a Swedish historian .

Life

Cavallie studied history at Uppsala University and later worked as senior archivist in the Swedish Imperial Archives . He published, among other things, monographs on the Swedish financing of wars at the beginning of the Great Northern War 1700–1721 (dissertation), on socio-historical issues relating to the higher strata of Swedish officers during the 17th century, as well as a highly regarded double work on the German general and politician Erich Ludendorff and the Prussian landscape director Wolfgang Kapp .
