James Horton

James Horton (* 1948 in London ) is a British painter and has been the President of the Royal Society of British Artists (RBA)since 2009.

Live and act

James Horton was born in London in 1948 . Today he lives and works in Cambridge . From 1964 to 1966 he studied at the Sir John Cass Art School , from 1966 to 1970 at the City & Guilds of London Art School . In 1970 he received a travel grant to Florence . 1971 to 1974 he graduated from the Royal College of Art , where he graduated with a Master of Arts .

In addition to his numerous works as a painter, he taught at various educational institutions such as the Sir John Cass Art School , at the Mary Ward Center , at the Anglia Polytechnic University , and published articles in journals and several books.

In addition to numerous mixed exhibitions in which he appeared together with other artists, Horten was able to realize the following exhibitions of his own:

Prices

In 1972 he won the BEA Art Awards and in 1992 The Discerning Eye .
