James C. Kaufman

James C. Kaufman (born September 21, 1974 ) is an American psychologist. He is a professor at California State University, San Bernardino , where he heads the Learning Research Institute . He received his PhD in cognitive psychology from Yale , where he worked with Robert Sternberg .

Kaufman's main area of ​​interest is creativity research . He is also interested in research into intelligence . His best-known works include Intelligence Applied (with Sternberg and Elena Grigorenko; Cambridge, 2008) and Essentials of Creativity Assessment (with Jonathan A. Plucker and John Baer; Wiley, 2008).

Kaufman is the son of psychology professor Alan S. Kaufman and psychology professor Nadeen L. Kaufman .
