James Milton Black

James Milton Black (* 1856 in South Hill / New York ; † 1938 in Williamsport / Pennsylvania ) was an American hymn composer, choirmaster and teacher at a Sunday school .

Black was born in South Hill, New York , but worked, lived and died in Williamsport, Pennsylvania . There he also worked in his Methodist Church .
