James Clark Morrison (born May 25, 1986 in Darlington , England ) is a former English - Scottish football player .

Career

From 1998 to 2003 Morrison played in the youth team of Middlesbrough FC . On January 3, 2004, he made his first team debut. Morrison's first UEFA Cup appearance was against Baník Ostrava on September 30, 2004 . In that game he scored his first goal for Middlesbrough.

In August 2007, the English second division West Bromwich Albion signed him until 2011. In the 2010/11 season he made 25 games for his club and scored four goals.

National team

Morrison played in almost all of England's youth teams. His grandparents were Scots, so he can also play for the Scottish national team. He made his debut for the Scottish national team on May 30, 2008 against the selection from the Czech Republic .
