James Mulva

James J. Mulva (born June 19, 1946 in Oshkosh , Wisconsin ) is an American manager .

Life

Mulva studied economics at the University of Texas at El Paso and earned a bachelor's and master's degree in business administration . He then worked as a US Navy officer until the beginning of his career with Phillips in 1973. From 2004 to 2012 he was President and CEO of the US company ConocoPhillips . Mulva sits on the board of directors for the National Petroleum Council .

He and his wife Miriam donated US $ 7,000,000 to build a new library at St. Norbert College in De Pere , a suburb of Green Bay , Wisconsin , which was named after them. Mulva received an honorary degree in engineering from the Colorado School of Mines on May 14, 2010 . James Mulva is married and has two children.
