James Rook

James Rook (born November 18, 1997 ) is an Australian helmsman in rowing .

Athletic career

James Rook drove both the two with helmsman and the eighth in the 2017 season . At the World Championships in Sarasota , he won the silver medal in two with Darcy Wruck and Angus Widdicombe . The eighth took second place in the B final and thus eighth place overall. In 2018, Rook changed from male eight to female eight as helmsman. At the world championships in Plovdiv he won the bronze medal behind the boats from the United States and Canada with the Australians. In 2019, the Australian women's eight won the World Cup regatta in Poznan and took second place in Rotterdam. At the World Championships in Linz, the New Zealanders won ahead of the Australians and the defending champions from the United States.
