James Wilkinson (born February 28, 1951 in Howth ) is a retired Irish sailor .
successes
James Wilkinson took part in two Olympic Games in the Flying Dutchman boat class . In 1976 in Montreal he finished 19th on his Olympic debut with Barry O'Neill . Four years later in Moscow he started with David Wilkins . In six of the seven races they finished four times second, once fourth and once fifth and finished the regatta in second place with 30 total points. Behind the Spanish and in front of the Hungarian boat they received the silver medal.
