Jamie Draven , actually Jamie Donnelly , (born May 14, 1979 in Wythenshawe , Manchester ) is a British actor .

Life

Jamie Draven, whose real name is Jamie Donnelly, grew up in the southern Manchester district of Wythenshawe as the youngest of three brothers. He toyed with the idea of ​​becoming a footballer, but began acting at the age of 16. He failed all GCSE School exams, repeated them in the hope of A grades, and failed again. He then moved to London to pursue his acting ambitions, although he never underwent professional theater training. At the age of 19 he took the stage name Jamie Draven. After a few minor roles, he got a leading role in the Granada Television drama Butterfly Collectors in 1999 . His international breakthrough came in 2000 in the hit movie Billy Elliot - I Will Dance , in which he played Billy's older brother Tony.

He worked with actress Alex Reid on various productions such as the first two seasons of Ultimate Force and episodes of Mobile and Jetsam .
