Residue is a three-part English science fiction series that premiered on March 31, 2015. Directed by Alex Garcia Lopez; The director, who was born in Argentina and lives in London, became famous for series such as Misfits and Utopia . The screenplay was written by John Harrison , who has worked on Creepshow (1982), Zombie 2 (1985) and Book of Blood (2009), among others . Residue is a futuristic sci-fi thriller that follows the life of photojournalist Jennifer Preston after a momentous and mysterious explosion in the center of a dystopian metropolis. The series has been translated from English into Spanish, German and French.

After an explosion on New Year's Eve in an unnamed English metropolis, photojournalist Jennifer Preston is looking for the trigger for the disturbing events that she has observed since the disaster. Through her research, she comes across a web of lies designed to cover up a paranormal phenomenon that has long slumbered in the city's vaults and is kept secret by the government under all circumstances.
