Jamie Shaw (born 1985 in Dinas Powys in the Vale of Glamorgan , Wales ) is a British singer .

Life

Jamie Shaw was born in 1985 in Dinas Powys, UK. As a child he sang in the church choir of Llandough Babtist Church. At the age of six he appeared in the musicals "Wizard Of Oz" and "The King And I" at the Anwine Little Theater. And Shaw was also active in the school choir.

Shaw toured the UK with the Welsh National Opera in the production of Madame Butterfly. Appearances in "Christmas Carousal", " Turandot ", "Kalaf Quest" and "Joseph And The Multicolour Dreamcoat" followed. In 1998, Jamie appeared on the television show "My Kind of Music". A few weeks later, he signed his first record deal. His debut album was titled "When You Believe" and also included a birthday song for the Queen Mom.

In Germany, Jamie Shaw was in the support program for Lionel Richie in 2000 and appeared at the ARD sports gala.

Three years later, Jamie took part in the television show "Popstars - The Rivals" and became a member of the British boy band "One True Voice". Their first single "Sacred Trust / After Your Gone" sold over 650,000 copies, and their second single "Shakespeare's Way With Words" also landed in the top ten of the English charts.

The following year, Jamie Shaw appeared on the television show "Cariad @ Laith" for a week. In the fall of 2005, Shaw appeared in the opening act for boy groups Backstreet Boys and US5 .
