Jamie Spence (born May 26, 1963 in Tunbridge Wells , Kent ) is an English professional golfer . In 2003 he succeeded Mark James as Chairman of the European Tour's Tournament Committee .

Career

Spence became a professional golfer in 1985 and has been among the top 100 of the European Tour Order of Merit more than a dozen times since 1990 , with his best ranking in 1992 with 10th place. Spence won his two tournaments in 1992 at the prestigious Canon European Masters and in 2000 at the Moroccan Open .

In 1992 he was part of the victorious English team at the Alfred Dunhill Cup in St Andrews . In 2000 he represented the English colors in both the Dunhill Cup and the WGC World Cup .

The sworn FC Arsenal supporter has been married to his wife Sally Ann since 1990 and has two sons.
