Jampel Thrinle ( Wylie : 'jam dpal phrin las ) (* 1913 ; † 1984 ) or Gyepa Khensur Jampel Thrinle ( Wylie : rgyas pa mkhan zur' jam dpal phrin las ) was a Tibetan clergyman and politician of the Gelug School. He's from Markham . He was a representative of a series of incarnations at the Siwu Monastery in Markham. As a child he began his training at Drepung Monastery. Graduated in 1942 with the degree of Geshe Lharampa (Doctor of Buddhist Philosophy). He was appointed Khenpo of a Dratshang of Drepung Monastery. Since 1959 he has been the vice chairman of the 2nd to 4th Political Consultative Conferences of the Tibet Autonomous Region, the 4th vice chairman of the Chinese Buddhist Association and president of its Tibet branch.
