Jamshoro (Urdu: ڄام شورو) is the administrative seat of the Jamshoro District in Sindh Province in Pakistan . Jamshoro is located on the right bank of the Indus in the southwestern part of Sindh Province. The city is about 18 kilometers from Hyderabad and 150 kilometers from Karachi . In 2017 the population was 34,400 people.

education

The city is considered an important educational location. There are several universities in the city including the University of Sindh . Their campus is the largest in the country.

Attractions

The fortress Ranikot is a historic fort near the city. Ranikot Fort is also known as the Great Wall of Sindh and is believed to be the largest fort in the world with a circumference of approximately 16 kilometers. It has been on the tentative list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites since 1993.
