Jan Braband

Jan Braband (born June 8, 1972 in Hamburg ) is a German director .

Life

He completed his training in film directing at the Worpsweder Mac-Bekov-Studio, with longer stays at UCLA Extensions and the Lee Strasberg Theater Institute.

In addition to documentaries for NDR , Jan Braband mainly shot short films. Prize winners include Hormoon (2005), Our Money (1999), Lilli Rennt (2000/2006), and The Man With The Duck On His Head (2000). The last two were created in collaboration with the Hamburg director Oliver Schnekenbühl .

In 2006, the feature film debut Profile Of Fear , a psychological thriller with Caught in the Act star Lee Baxter, was released .

In 2013 he published the two-part historical youth novel Nordpiraten , which emerged from the draft of a previously unused script.
