Jan Friedrich Richter

Jan Friedrich Richter (* 1969 in Schwelm ) is a German art historian.

Life

Jan Friedrich Richter studied art history and German at the Free University of Berlin from 1994 to 2000 . In 2003, he was here with a dissertation on Clausberg Dr. phil. PhD.

From 2001 to 2006 he worked as a freelancer at the Diocesan Museum Paderborn as part of the church inventory of the Archdiocese of Paderborn .

From 2007 he was the scientific editor of the corpus of medieval wood sculpture and panel painting in Schleswig-Holstein at the Christian Albrechts University in Kiel.

His research focus is medieval sculpture and panel painting in northern Germany and Scandinavia.

For his work on Hans Brüggemann , in 2012 he received the University Prize of the municipality of Bordesholm, endowed with 1500 euros .

He currently works as a freelance curator of the Medieval Collection in Lübeck's St. Annen Museum Quarter . In 2015 he was curator of the exhibition Lübeck 1500 . In 2016 he curated the exhibition Karl IV. - An Emperor in Brandenburg in the House of Brandenburg-Prussian History in Potsdam .
