Jan Furman is a former Polish ski jumper and ski jumping coach.

Career

Furman first appeared on January 30, 1955 at an international jumping competition when he finished fourteenth in Moscow . Furman celebrated his greatest success in the context of the Swiss Spring Tour in 1957. While he narrowly missed the podium in Arosa as fourth, he came second at the third station in Le Locle . Furman also came second in the international ski jumping competitions in February 1957 in St. Moritz and in January 1959 in Mátraháza .

At the Polish Championships in Zakopane in 1959 , Furman took second place from Wielka Krokiew behind Zdzisław Hryniewiecki and thus won his only national medal.

After his active career, Furman stayed in the sport as a coach. He trained, among others, the Pole Stanisław Bobak .
