Jan Gorr (born March 30, 1978 in Lahn - Gießen ) is a German handball coach . At the age of 16 he already trained in the youth division of the HSG Dutenhofen / Münchholzhausen , with whose B youth team he became German champion in 2002.

From 2003 to 2005 Gorr was the coach of the second team at HSG Wetzlar . He then moved to TV Hüttenberg , whose first team he coached, which was then playing in the 2nd Bundesliga (South) . In 2011, he was promoted to the 1st Bundesliga , from which one as table 17. straight down again.

For the 2012/13 season Gorr should move to VfL Gummersbach ; However, VfL Gummersbach decided before he took office that Emir Kurtagic , who had coached the Bundesliga team since December 2011 as the successor to Sead Hasanefendic , should continue to be a coach. On February 1, 2013, VfL Gummersbach and Gorr agreed to terminate the contract. A few days later, Gorr was hired as a coach from HSC 2000 Coburg for the 2013/14 season. He also succeeded Frank Carstens as assistant coach of the German national handball team . A year later, his activity at DHB ended. On July 1, 2020, Gorr moved from the coaching bench to the management of HSC 2000 Coburg.
