Jan Kraus (born August 15, 1953 in Prague ) is a Czech actor, presenter, director and screenwriter.

Life

Jan Kraus was born in 1953 in Prague, the son of Ota Kraus and his wife Božena. Ivan Kraus is his brother. As a teenager he played in internationally known series and films in Czechoslovakia . He made his debut as an actor in 1966. There were mostly supporting roles, such as B. in the series Die Märchenbraut . Later he started working as a presenter for Czech television and also directed. Since 1966 he has been involved in Czechoslovak and Czech productions. Jan Kraus can also be heard again and again on the radio. He has his own program on the Czech private broadcaster Frekvence 1. In Jan Kraus a blondýna (German: Jan Kraus und Blondine) he discusses current events with his blonde and presents some problems in a funny way. But he can also be heard on normal radio broadcasts. At the Slovakian private broadcaster Radio Viva , he often moderates the Friday edition of “Vivaparty”, where disco hits from all decades are played in an almost advertising-free broadcast format.
