Jana Valerjewna Smerdowa ( Russian Яна Валерьевна Смердова , international according to English transcription Yana Smerdova ; * February 7, 1998 ) is a Russian walker who - starting as an " Authorized Neutral Athlete " - has so far achieved two major successes.

Career

Jana Smerdowa has so far won two medals in international competitions in her sporting career. In 2017, she celebrated winning the gold medal in the 10-kilometer walk at the U20 European Championships in Grosseto, Italy, with a time of 47: 19.69 minutes, ahead of the German Teresa Zurek (47: 33.20 minutes) and the Turkish Meryem Bekmez (48: 33.88 min).
