The Jane Point is a headland on the north coast of South Georgia . On the south bank of Royal Bay , it marks the eastern limit of the entrance to Beaufoy Cove .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 2002. It is named after the British sealer Jane , with whom James Weddell drove to South Georgia in 1823.
