The Beaufoy Cove is a bay on the north coast of South Georgia in the South Atlantic . It is located on the south side of Royal Bay and was created by the retreat of the Weddell Glacier .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named them in 2002. It is named after the sealer Beaufoy , with whom Captain Matthew Brisbane (1787-1833) visited South Georgia in 1823.
