Jane Schaberg

Jane Dewar Schaberg ( February 20, 1938 - April 17, 2012 ) was an American Roman Catholic theologian .

Life

Schaberg studied philosophy at Manhattanville College and Roman Catholic theology at Columbia University and Union Theological Seminary in New York City . She taught at the University of Detroit Mercy from 1977 to 2009. In 1984 she signed the A Catholic Statement on Pluralism and Abortion campaign for the New York Times . She was co-editor of the Journal of Feminist Studies in Religion .
