Jane Marie Genevieve Wiedlin (born May 20, 1958 in Oconomowoc , Wisconsin ) is an American pop musician.

Career

In 1978 she founded the band Go-Go’s together with Belinda Carlisle and was active there as a singer and guitarist. In 1983 she sang the songs Cool Places and Lucky Me, Lucky You in a duet with Russell Mael on the Sparks album In Outer Space .

From 1984 she pursued a solo career and released four albums. Her most famous solo single was the number Rush Hour , released in May 1988 , with which she came to number 9 in the USA.

After brief reunions in the 1990s, she has been back at The Go-Go's since 2000.
