Janet Balaskas

Janet Balaskas (* 1946 in Johannesburg , South Africa ) is a British midwife , author and founder of the Active Birth Movement . She is a pioneer for gentle birth . In 1982 she organized a demonstration in London for the right of women to give birth in any position she prefers. She runs a birthing center in London.
