The Dartmouth Point is a headland on the north coast of South Georgia . It is at the northern end of a peninsula that separates Moraine Fjord from Cumberland East Bay .
This cape was mapped during the Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1901–1903) under the direction of polar explorer Otto Nordenskjöld . It is named after the HMS Dartmouth , a light cruiser of the Royal Navy , who in the First World War was used.
