The Moraine Fjord ( English for Moränenförde ) is the middle of the three large tributaries of Cumberland Bay on the north coast of South Georgia . The largest part of the entrance to this 5.6 km long bay is occupied by a glacial moraine that gives it its name .
It was mapped and named as Moränfjorden during the Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1901–1903) under the direction of Otto Nordenskjöld .
