Shi Hanbing ( Chinese  时 寒冰 , Pinyin Shí Hánbīng , born February 1972 in Shangcai , Henan ) is a Chinese author, economist, professor and lecturer. He is one of the most important contemporary commentators and forecasters on the economy in China.

Shi Hanbing is a qualified researcher in applied economics at the China Center for Industrial Security Research, China's only academic institution for industrial security topics. He works as a freelance professor and lecturer in economics at Shanghai Jiaotong University , Fudan University and Peking University . He has served as a commentator and editor for Shanghai Secrurties News, guest commentator for China Central Television and special advisor to Phoenix Bobao News. Shi Hanbing is also involved in charitable causes and works as an author in the field of business literature. He has received important prizes such as “Most Influential Personality for Financial and Business Media in the Chinese Security Markets” and “Author of the Year 2011 for Chinese Publications”.

In the last 20 years Shi Hanbing has not only focused on academic economic research, but also particularly on its practical application in relation to private individuals, as well as national political and economic strategies. With the “Interest Analysis System” he developed, he was able to predict numerous major economic events.

His publications and books in the field of economics are always among the best sellers in China. Special mention should be made of: “What should China do when the Subprime Mortale Crisis has changed the World?”, “How should we play the Chess Game of Economy”, “The Truth of the European debt Crisis and its Warning to China”, “ The general trend of economy in the next two decades ”.

His last book “The general trend of economy in the next two decades” is arguably his most profound and influential work. It is an extension and reinterpretation of the research results of the last 20 years and it provides questions and answers on the following three main topics: decision-making processes in China, the competition between different forces and “global game play”. Not only are important macroeconomic trends in China and other important world economic systems presented, but also a bridge to microeconomic topics such as real estate markets, foreign exchange markets, raw materials, etc. Many of the prognoses made by Shi Hanbing in this book have actually come true. Specifically, in 37 chapters with numerous sub-chapters, in addition to a focus on China, the following focal points can be found: Russia, the USA, Africa, Japan, Europe and their global economic connections.
