Janine Berger (born April 21, 1996 in Bubesheim ) is a German gymnast . Janine Berger started for the SSV Ulm in 1846 and went to the Anna-Essinger-Gymnasium Ulm . Berger is trained by Gabor Szucs and Milena Nolte and belongs to the DTB - Squad of the gymnastics team Germany at. Her specialty is the jump , in which she won the gold medal at the European Youth Olympic Festival 2011 in Trabzon . She also won the team bronze medal together with Sophie Scheder and Cagla Akyol. In 2011 she also won four gold medals at the German Youth Championships. In 2009 she won her first youth title on the ground and in the jump.

Berger successfully switched to the performance area in 2012 and won the jumping title at the German championships of the year and was eighth in the all-around competition. Because of the good performance she was nominated for the Olympic Games in London . She narrowly missed a medal in the jump and finished fourth.
