Janis Antonovics

Janis Antonovics (born October 18, 1942 in Riga ) is a British-American ecologist and professor of biology at the University of Virginia .

Life and research

He graduated from Cambridge University with a Ph.D. at the University of Wales . His field of work is broad: Among other things, he researches the interactions between pathogens and the host and the evolution of the underlying genetic systems, the metapopulation development in diseases using the example of anther burn ( Microbotryum sp.)
