The Jansik knot is a fishing knot for securely attaching a fishing line to a fishing hook or swivel .

Knot

The fishing line is threaded twice through the hook eye. Then the end of the cord is wound three or four times through the resulting double eyes . Then moisten the cord and tighten it properly. Cut off the excess cord end and the knot is done.

Alternatives

The clinch knot is simpler, but a little less robust .
