Jaqee
Jaqueline Nakiri Nalubale (* 1977 in Kampala ), best known by her stage name Jaqee , is a Swedish - Ugandan singer. When she was 13 years old, her family fled with her to Sweden.
In 2005 she released her debut album "Blaqalixious", which mainly contains soul and R&B songs. In 2007 "Nouvelle d´ amour" followed, which was rockier and paved the way for the next album "A Letter to Billie" with songs by Billie Holiday . She presented this internationally with the Bohuslän Big Band . In 2017 she released her current album "Fly High".
The producer of the German label Rootdown Records , Teka, brought her into the project " Koalas Desperados ". Teka is also her significant other and the father of her children. Jaqee lives with her family in Berlin.
