Jarkko Hartikainen

Jarkko Hartikainen (born July 12, 1981 in Espoo ) is a Finnish composer .

Hartikainen studied composition at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki under Paavo Heininen and with Gerhard Müller-Hornbach and Beat Furrer at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts .

The interpreters and clients of his works include the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra, Orchester National de Lille, Tapiola Sinfonietta, Latvian Radio Chamber Choir, Sibelius Academy Vocal Ensemble, the organist Jan Lehtola, the conductors Jonas Alber and Magnus Lindberg and the Rohm Music Foundation ( Japan).

Hartikainen was selected to represent Finland at the Estonian Music Days 2011, which invited a composer from each neighboring country.
