Jarltech was founded in 1993 as S-TEAM Vertriebs GmbH by Ulrich Spranger and renamed Jarltech Vertriebs-GmbH in 1994. At that time it mainly traded in imported goods from Asia. In 1999 the name was changed to Jarltech Europe GmbH, shortly afterwards the distribution of several leading manufacturers ( Citizen , Datalogic , Epson , Honeywell , Zebra Technologies ) began. This was followed by the opening of several sales offices in Europe and the expansion of the product portfolio.

In 2017, Jarltech bought the Zumtobel plant in Usingen, which was closed in 2016, and moved there in 2018 after renovations. The newly designed reception area was realized by Tobias Rehberger as a room-filling overall concept.
