Jaroslav Doubrava

Jaroslav Doubrava (born April 4, 1948 ) is a Czech politician . He is a senator for the Ústí nad Labem district , a former mayor of Telnice and a member of Severočeši.cz (North Bohemia.cz) party. From 1990 to 2010 he was a member of the communist party KSČM .

Career

Jaroslav Doubrava graduated from an electrotechnical vocational school. He is married and has two children.

From 1978 to 2010 he worked in regional politics as the secretary of the national assembly of the municipality. In 1998 he was elected senator. In the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic, he was Deputy Chairman of the Immunity Committee from 1998 to 2004 and a member of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defense and Security.

In 2010 he joined the Severočeši.cz party from KSČM . In 2010 he was re-elected Senator.

Foreign policy activity

When presidential and parliamentary elections were held for the first time in the Lugansk People's Republic on November 2, 2014 , Senator Doubrava was also present as an observer. He has visited around 15 polling stations and found no irregularities. The elections were also observed by other European politicians, including Ewald Stadler from Austria and Magdalena Taschewa from Bulgaria.
