Jasmine You ( jap. 茉莉花勇 , Jasumin Yū actually Yuichi Kageyama ( 影山勇一 , Kageyama Yuichi ) * 8. March 1979 in Aichi Prefecture , Japan; † 9. August 2009 ) was bassist of the Japanese Metal - band Versailles .
Life
In 1998 Jasmine You, who was known for his elaborate dresses and hairpieces, entered the visual kei scene. After the band Jakura broke up, he played in several bands. In 2006 he was invited by his childhood friend Hizaki to support him on his solo project and moved to Tokyo . In 2007, Hizaki and Kamijo formed the band Versailles . At the same time he was still working with Hizaki on his solo project and Kamijo's side project, which was intended for Jasmine, Kamijo, Hizaki, Juka and Kaya. In June 2009 the last single Ascendead Master , with Jasmine You as bassist from Versailles, was released. Versailles released five singles, a mini-album and an album with Jasmine.
On August 3rd, 2009 it was announced that he would have to give up all music projects for health reasons. Jasmine You passed away on August 9, 2009. Versailles declared that he was "an eternal member" with her .
